Friday is the moment of truth. It is when the world gets to see Senators Obama and McCain go head to head on the debate battlefield. We get to see what other tricks the Republicans have up their slimy, dirty sleeves.
We've already seen in the past a party (The Republicans) that will spend all kinds of money to bring down a rival unjustly (Bill Clinton for example). They would rather stay away from the truth, twist reality, and out right lie to the masses to gain power and have their way. We already know this and must deal with it. As well we have many out their, white, black, and Hispanic who have deep within them a problem with seeing a black man in the White House. This ignorance we must combat with facts, data, knowledge, and understanding. Many people who know from rational and logical stand point that Obama is not only a viable candidate for president but the best person right now for the job. Yet, they will find false, fake, foolish, and illogical reasons and excuses to not vote for Obama. The real reason is based on race, but they will rarely admit it in public.
I call this the moment of TRUTH for a few reasons. One of them being that when these two combatants meet man to man, person to person, politician to politician we must take away the color of their skin and race. We must be truthful and ask ourselves which person will serve us, the PEOPLE best as president. We must decide whether McCain is just saying whatever he thinks we want to hear or whatever will get him elected even if he is not being TRUTHFUL. We must decide whether Obama has not the experience to lead this country or is this just McCain and Palin's strategy to make us question Obama's fitness for the office by constantly syaing it over and over. This is called subliminal seduction.
I have been trying to fully understand why people think that Obama is not ready when it is clear that he is. The truth is that McCain is using this instead of just saying flat out to certain people who have a problem with seeing a man of color in office 'Don't even give a thought to voting for this Black Man'. He knows that the majority of Americans live in ignorance and fear. They live in ignorance of all of the facts concerning Blacks/African Americans. They are ignorant to the facts about 911, the war in Iraq and the fact that Sadaam and Iraq had no connection to Osama Bin laden al Qaeda. The believe that this country has the right to do whatever they want to other countries they feel pose a threat to them and hold this notion that the U.S.A. is always right and has God on it's side. This attitude of superiority or what is called "Manifest Destiny" is what has allowed racism to thrive and remain in the hearts and minds of many Americans of the United States whether they be black, white, brown, red, or yellow. This why when 911 occured you had this hatred towards anyone who looked or was Arab suddenly grow to new hieghts. Thereafter you had politicians using this fear to get the masses to rally behind any thing they wanted to do (take away many of our constitutional rights, wage war against Iraq, vote for the candidates who appear stronger on national defense). So we see what their tactics are, yet some of us will still vote not with our logical minds but in fear and ignorance.
Please do not let the polls make you change you minds. You must vote no matter what! They will release so called polls saying that Obama will win to make you feel that your vote isn't needed and they will have some polls saying thet McCain is ahead to make you feel that no matter whether you vote or not Obama will not win. Don't put to much into the polls. Vote no matter what! Your vote is needed. Do not think that becasue an Electoral College ultimately decides on who will be president that your votes do not influence the Electoral College. It can and does when you use it.
Do you think that McCain after about 30 years in politics with no noticiable change is now the man, at his old age, of change? Do you really think that Sarah Palin is ready for the Vice Presidency and possibly the Presidency? Sarah Palin is the same woman who says that she stopped a Bridge to Nowhere who forgot to tell you that your tax dollars still went to building a road to nowhere that would have went to the bridge that she stopped from being built. Makes no sense to me, what about you? She also is under investigation for firing someone for not firing her brother inlaw with who she was upset with. Sarah Palin is only a pawn in McCain's quest for the White House. Don't be fooled.
