Bronx mother found shot to death in home
(11/02/09) PELHAM GARDENS - Police say a 22-year-old Bronx mother has been found dead in her Allerton Avenue apartment. According to police, a 911 call led them to discover Margarita Feliciano, who had been fatally shot in the face. Feliciano lived in an apartment at 960 Allerton Ave. with her 2-year-old daughter and boyfriend, who the building's superintendent says was abusive.
"That lady was sometimes quiet - scared - because she knows the boyfriend is dangerous," says Rafael Santos. "Many times he beat her in the front of the building."
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
