Classes of 2020 No prom, No Senior trip, No Year Book, No Graduation!

In the midst of this pandemic, all over the country (and the world), the Classes of 2020 are sadly watching as their dreams of walking across the stage to collect a diploma, the culmination of their years in High School, wash away as another "effect" of the Covid-19.
Last week, our school's principal announced to our seniors that schools would be closed for the remainder of the year. What does this mean?
No prom.
No Senior trip.
No Year Book.
No Graduation.
Many of our kids face incredible odds to get this far, and nothing symbolizes their struggles and hard work better than walking with their peers. We’ve talked to our seniors and they are having a hard time dealing with this reality!
But we have a plan and with your help we can reconnect these 82 Bronx seniors and give them a positive shared experience that they will have for the rest of their lives.
The question is how to create a connection between the students without them being together? The inspiration arose from an Emirates Airline video challenge posted on FB.

Our seniors will recreate a similar video as their graduation ceremony, using the class hoodie, cap and gown and yearbook. After speaking to our supplier, they were kind enough to discount the original price to help us meet our goal.
Our goal of $5,400 will provide each student with: a 2020 senior hoodie, a cap, gown and tassel and the 2020 senior yearbook.
Your generosity will enable the 82 graduating seniors form our Bronx High School, a chance to create their memory, to have closure and to allow them to look back and say with a smile, in the midst of a pandemic, I was class of 2020!
