“I believe that there will be ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those who do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the system of exploitation. I believe that there will be that kind of clash, but I don't think it will be based on the color of the skin...” ― Malcolm X
Democratic Reps. Rashida Tlaib (from left), Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley, aka "the Squad"
The political climate is almost right for the clash that Malcolm X spoke of many years ago between the oppressed and the oppressors. Bernie Sanders and his followers have preached enough talk of the elite keeping the oppressed down that it has generated a cult like movement. This movement can if they wanted begin to clash with the oppressors.
AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) and the squad have infiltrated the government and more are to come with their progressive semi-socialist agenda. They are in a position to help any clash and effect real change against the elite.
Whether or not it happens now depends on the results of the 2020 Elections and if vote turn out is at a record high. If not the change will still occur, but at a slower pace. The elite better hope that the oppressed doesn't become an angry mob and take what they believe they have been cheated, robbed, and over taxed out of. Time will tell. ~ Malik Shabazz
U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Saturday in New York City joined the "Bernie's Back" rally in Queensbridge Park and formally endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for the White House.
{The flagging presidential campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders got an adrenaline boost Saturday when lefty darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez formally endorsed the 78-year-old democratic socialist for commander in chief.
“It wasn’t until I heard of a man by the name of Bernie Sanders that I began to question and assert and recognize my inherent value as a human being,” Ocasio-Cortez said in an emotional rally speech at Long Island City’s Queensbridge Park, before a crowd the Sanders campaign estimated was more than 25,000.
“Bernie Sanders fought for us.”
Sanders suffered a heart attack Oct. 1 while stumping in Nevada, forcing him to suspend his campaign for two weeks — a serious blow to a candidate who has suffered steep party polling losses in recent months.
He now commands 15 percent of the vote, according to RealClearPolitics, down from a high of 24 percent in March, as he and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren battle to win the Democratic Party’s left wing.
“He’s the godfather of the movement,” said an Astoria resident, 26, who gave his name as Tommy, decked out in a “Feel the Bern” hoodie. “He has a vision for the future. I can trust him.”} ~from The New York Post
