What's Bubbling Over In The U.S.A.?

My beautiful people of color as well as my people who are absent of color I am here to declare war on covert & overt racism. Armed with the truth, I will attempt to expose what many would like to hide. For those hate filled, inane drones who would rather be cowards and hide what they feel inside I cannot honestly say that I fear or hate you. I understand your pain.
There are those of you who believe that this country of ours (make no mistake, we live here together) is exclusively for white people. You feeble minded people have been led to think that this land that your ancestors stole is God given.
Of course some of you will say that you have black/African American friends. Having people of color for friends is quite different than having one for your president.
Before I go any further let us see what former president Jimmy Carter had to say about certain people in this country and how they feel about our current president Barack Obama.

(CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.

Former President Carter tells NBC Nightly News that racism has surfaced in opposition to President Obama.

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told NBC News. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."

"That racism inclination still exists, and I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of belief among many white people -- not just in the South but around the country -- that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply," Carter said.

Carter made similar remarks at an event at his presidential center in Atlanta, Georgia, The Associated Press reported Tuesday, pointing to some protesters who have compared Obama to a Nazi. "Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care," the former president said at the Carter Center, according to AP. "It's deeper than that." Video Watch Carter link animosity toward Obama to racism »

He grouped Wilson's shout of "You lie!" during Obama's speech in that category, according to AP. "I think it's based on racism. There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," he said.

"The president is not only the head of government, he is the head of state. And no matter who he is or how much we disagree with his policies, the president should be treated with respect."

The House voted Tuesday to formally disapprove of Wilson's behavior during the joint session of Congress. The resolution was approved largely along party lines, with Republicans calling the measure unnecessary partisan politics.

Wilson apologized to the White House last week, but congressional Democrats said he owed the chamber a similar statement of regret. ~

Why, when it seems that the United States has come so far concerning racism, is it that hatred & bigotry is bubbling to the surface? Is former president Jimmy Carter correct? Some would like to say that Mr. Carter doesn't know what he is talking about. In fact they said that what Carter stated was stupid. I do not think he is stupid. I believe that he just said it the way he sees it.
Of those who want to appear unbiased would attempt to discredit former president Jimmy Carter. Some would like us to act as if there is no problem.
Like Colin Powell said, we cannot forget our past here in North America just because a few or some blacks have achieved greatness, reached certain heights or, have gained status. Until every person of color has the same opportunities & the playing field has been leveled, this ugly snake we call racism is not over.
For those of you people of color who think that you can do nothing to change it, you are wrong. It is your kind that I and many other people of color despise more than the racist themselves. Why? Because you enable them with your self pity, self hatred, your feelings of inadequacy & inferiority. You who teach your children to accept a lower status in society as 'just the way it is and will always be' are poor example of what a human should be. You are weak links in what should be a strong chain.
Teach your children to be refined, upright, intelligent, and proud beings. Direct their mind towards the highest goals. Encourage them to become lawyers, doctors, scientist, engineers, & politicians.
The reason why it was so important to get Obama in office was so that our kind could know that we are equal and can be whatever we want in life. All of us who voted for Obama (including whites) wanted to not only see change but, also the race barrier broken. It is not over yet, we must now work even harder to make changes.
Notice how the republicans are dazed, confused, in disorder since the election. Obama's win almost destroyed them. They are still wounded. It is up to us to put them out of their misery. We must vote as many of them out of office as we can.
Stay informed and be not like those who know nothing and make false statements. Some of them are still trying to convince the public that Obama was not born in this country. So sad!
